Ellen's Monthly Feng Shui Tips

Ahhhhhh, Spring. Rebirth and, well, all that other stuff too. But the BEST part about Spring for me is that we finally have fully traveled the Zodiac from one year to the next and now enter into the astrological New Year! We’ve made our resolutions on January 1 then we had another shot to attract great blessings with the Chinese New Year that usually falls sometime in February.

But now we have the beginning of another astrological year and with that come that advantage of using a specific date to do a specific thing that will magically and easily transform your whole life. An astro New Year do-over! Cool!

I’m going to make this quick because I know you are all headed out to do the garden, the packing for Spring break or just trying to get the bikes out of the corner of the garage. But this really is important, so pour yourself a nice cup of GREEN TEA and sip away as you learn how to make this next year the most magical one ever.

April 17th! That’s the date for this year! April 17th…New Moon in Aries, the day that we should empower ourselves and our lives by beginning another round of resolutions, these however will be pictorial and will stimulate and activate from the subconscious as well as from the conscious levels.

You should always and I mean ALWAYS begin a personal ‘Treasure Map’ on the very first New Moon in Aries. ‘Treasure Mapping’ has been around a billion years and consists of nothing more than creating a collage that adds power, visualization, passion and personal goal setting to your hopes, dreams and dearly held desires.

Use any piece of poster board or anything you can affix and attach pictures and sayings to. But it has to be something that you can see daily, as sort of a daily visual affirmation, so, nothing virtual will do, unless it’s a screensaver which would be a really cool idea.

Cover the whole thing (front and back if you choose) with pictures from magazines and catalogs, inspirational sayings, quotes and words that symbolize or represent what you would love to see in your life…now and in the ensuing twelve months.

To be extra effective, put the symbols in the same spaces as the energies they are accorded to on the Feng Shui Bagua map. So, if you are pining for that new Porsche put a picture of it in the ‘Wealth’ area of the collage or ‘Treasure Map.’

This next part is really important. Put any picture of YOU that you LOVE in the center of this piece. You can be 2, twelve or it can be taken yesterday. The point is that you have to love it. Save your biggest goals to get affixed (taped, glued) somewhere around that picture.

Use your verbal affirmations as you are affixing these visual ones. Keep this collage or map somewhere we you can see it daily, preferably upon awaking and/or right before you go to sleep, to remind you of what lies ahead for you because you are now creating it to be so. Wake up and say something to yourself that will call in these energies. Go to sleep the same way. Even these three words, repeated over and over again as you go to sleep will bring them closer to you than your pillowcase; “Health, Happiness and Prosperity.”

Any extra inspirations or additional ideas you have that didn’t make the final cut should be kept inside a box of some sort where you can continue all through this new astrological year to add to your list of ideals. OR, conversely, as one dream becomes true from the map, you can replace it (glue over it) with one of these others.

Just be ABSOLUTELY sure to have concluded your collage by the next Full Moon which will occur two weeks later. That’s as imperative as anything else I can tell you here. Besides that all your dreams are just about to take shape and for that I wish you ALL GREAT BLESSINGS, GOOD LUCK and, of course, HEALTH, HAPPINESS and PROSPERITY!
